Folder Transfer

If you want to share some files, over a network, you may have a few difficulties with the operating system's settings. The adjustments themselves are easy, but inexperienced users may spend some time, trying to find them. With Folder Transfer, you can share and transfer your files much faster and easier. Furthermore, the application is not limited to networks. It allows you to exchange files over the Internet, with the same efficiency and simplicity.

The software is not free, but you can enjoy its entire functionality, without restrictions, for 5 days. The setup package is only 2.12 MB and it takes only a few moments to install the application's components. All users who want to share their files must install Folder Transfer on their computers.

Folder Transfer's functionality is straightforward. Essentially, you just need to select files or folders, on a user friendly interface. Files are shared and transferred in different sections. The File Transfer section consists of two tabs, for sending and receiving data. If you want to receive data, you must select at least one destination folder, on the appropriate tab. Once selected, your destination folders will appear on the Send tab, on your friend's computer and his folders will appear on your machine.

You can send one or more files right away, by selecting a friend's destination folders and clicking a button, above the folders list. You may specify which files to send on a separate window, where you can select additional folders, from other users, create filters, to include or exclude certain files and set up speed or space limits. When you are done, the software will start transferring the data immediately, without asking for confirmation on the receiving end. The sent and received items will remain listed, under the appropriate folders.

Alternatively, you can just share one or more folders and let your friend copy the files whenever he wants. A remote user's shared folders, as well as your own, are displayed in the same list, in the File Sharing section. All you have to do is select a folder and click the Download option, above the list. This will display the folder's contents in a tree structure, on a separate window and you may select one or more files, by clicking their check boxes, set a destination path and click an OK button to download the files.
